Job Title:  Part-time as needed Front Desk Associate
Location:  Downtown Salisbury, NC
Time Commitment: The part time as needed front desk associate will fill in during staff vacations. Schedule will vary, 8am – 1pm or 12 – 5pm. There may also be a need for 8am – 5pm with a lunch break. The SBC is open from 8am – 5pm Monday – Friday.
 
Salisbury Business Center (SBC) is an executive office suite located in downtown Salisbury, NC. We provide individual private offices to professional businesses. Our offices are equipped with furniture, phone and internet service: everything a business needs to start working. As well, we provide our clients access to conference rooms, receptionist service and telecommunications solutions. Our modern executive suites feature all of these services and benefits to help companies focus on their business instead of focusing on managing an office.

Receptionist Overview

We need an energetic and engaging professional to represent the Salisbury Business Center (SBC) and manage the reception area. The reception area includes approximately 2500 square feet of space including lobby, conference rooms, an auditorium and business nook. You will oversee the reception area activities (mail, telephone system), and will also welcome and direct a wide range of visitors, including: entrepreneurs, business professionals, artists, investors, community guests and leaders.
 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet, assist and direct visitors either in person or over the phone
  • Maintain building security by following reception procedures, monitoring reception guestbook, and issuing visitor badges (when needed)
  • Maintain safe and clean reception area
  • Perform general office work
  • Manage mail (sort, date stamp, put in appropriate box) and packages
  • Provide assistance for special events (additional hours and/or flexible work schedule)
  • Perform other duties as requested
  • Contribute to team effort
  • Identify quality problems, work with your manager to develop and implement corrective actions

Job Skills and Qualification:

  • Excellent telephone, verbal communication, and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Detail-oriented, ability to organize, maintain a professional demeanor, and focus on guest services
  • High school degree

Physical Demand:

  • Light physical effort required (ability to move 5-10 lbs. from one area to another).
